An Amazing Delivery
A downloadable Minecraft map
- One small maze, which must be navigated through 4 different ways
- Some story bits
- Runs in 1.20.4 (use earlier or later versions at your own risk)
- Can be completed in about... 10 to 20 minutes?
- 13-page manual (I crammed in instructions, lore, and helpful advice)
By the end of the competition, my map didn't rank well. In their reviews, the random testers from the community basically stated that they didn't like reading or solving mazes in Minecraft.
Gee, I guess I picked the wrong time to be the guy who specifically puts lots of text and mazes in his maps.
To be fair, there was some valid criticism. Someone pointed out that hunger was an issue throughout the map and that the map wasn't visually appealing. These are things I either forgot to take care of or simply didn't have time to implement.
Also, I think I got some recognition from the hosts that I did put effort into my map and I got a, uh... pity prize.
Anyway, this version of the map has been slightly updated from the original submitted to the contest. These are the following changes from the original:
- Hunger is no longer an issue.
- I've added just a few visual and audio elements to make the map a little more interesting.
- I corrected a tiny non-game-breaking bug that appears at the very end of the map.
Please enjoy the map and let me know if you spot any Farscape references.
I won't be updating this map any further so if you spot any bugs, simply try to navigate around them.
